(19-2) LCF paper feed jam occurs immediately after the paper feed is started.
Check item
(19-2-1) Check condition of the paper running path
Paper running path Open the Paper cassette of LCF and check if
of the LCF Unit paper is not jammed in the paper running path.
Paper guide of 1st Open the 1st Tray and check the paper guide
Tray position.
Paper guide of 2nd Open the 2nd Tray and check the paper guide
Tray (when 2nd Tray position.

Paper running path Open the front cover and check if paper is not

(19-2-2) Check condition of the mechanical parts
Check the sensor Check if shape and movement of the sensor
lever of LCF Hopping levers have any abnormality or not.

Remove the MOTOR connector of the LCF board
Check the LCF
and check the followings at the connector side.

Several MΩ between pin-3 - FG
Several MΩ between pin-4 - FG
(19-2-5) Check the connection system
Check the connection condition of the cable.

Check if the connector is connected in the
motor drive cable
halfway only or not, and check if the connector is
connection
inserted in a slanted angle or not.
Check also with eyes that cables are assembled
without any abnormality.
Check that any cable is not bitten during
LCF paper feed
assembling of the LCF unit.

Remove the MOTOR connector of the LCF board

and check the followings at the cable side.
Short circuit between pin-1 - FG
Short circuit between pin-2 - FG
Short circuit between pin-3 - FG
Short circuit between pin-4 - FG
Remove the MOTOR connector of the LCF board
LCF paper feed
and check that approx. 2.8Ω can be each measured

between pin-1 -pin-2, and between pin-3 -pin-4.
(19-2-6) Clutch operation check
Confirm that the paper feed clutch or regist
LCF paper feed
clutch works normally by using the MOTOR &
clutch
Clutch Test of the self-diagnostic mode.
Check the connection condition of the cable.

Check if the connector is connected in the
clutch cable
halfway only or not, and check if the connector is
inserted in a slanted angle or not.
Check also with eyes that cables are assembled
without any abnormality.
Check that any cable is not bitten during
LCF paper feed
assembling of the LCF unit.

Remove the CL1 connector or the CL2 connector
of the LCF board and check the followings at the
cable side.
Short circuit between pin-1 - FG
Remove the CL1 connector or the CL2 connector
of the LCF board and check that approx. 240Ω
can be measured between pin-1 and pin-2.
7. Troubleshooting and repair procedure
