To wind tape at high speed

ePress the m key to stop fast winding.
Selection of reverse mode.

Each press switches the modes as follows.
.. Both sides are played back (recorded), and
then the tape stops.
@ "c2>" ., Both sides are played back endlessly.
(The tape stops after recording onto bath
sides.)
.. Only one side is played back (recorded),
and then the tape stops.

Selection of DOLBY NR (Noise Reduction)
The Dolby NR system minimizes the hiss noise heard when
playing tape. When playing a tape prerecorded with Dolby
NR ON, be sure to set the DOLBY NR ON for playback.
Lit when "DOLBY NR" is ON.

Heverse mode indication
Displayed when the deck is loaded with a tape
elf the tape transport direction is opposite to the desired direction, press
the play key corresponding to this.
Transport direction indicators
The < and > indicators indicate the current direction in which
the tape advances when playback or recording is started auto-
matically by the easy operation function, etc. This direction is
the direction stored in memory when the tape was last stopped.
{To switch the tape transport direction, press the play key cor-
responding to the desired direction then press the stop (a) key.)
Transport direction indicators
Please play back tapes recorded with equalizer etc. without
co applying any effect.
