Driver assistance system
depending on the target ahead and the
collision risk level when:
僅 A vehicle is detected and your vehicle
speed is approximately 5~180 km/h
(3~112 mph).
僅 A pedestrian or cyclist is detected and
your vehicle speed is approximately
5~80 km/h (3~50 mph).
Emergency braking

A: Emergency braking
The warning message, an audible warn-
ing and the steering wheel will vibrate (if
equipped) to warn the driver that emer-
gency braking will be assisted. The
brake assist will be activated and it helps
avoiding collision of a vehicle, pedestrian
and cyclist.
Emergency Braking will be activated in
the following your vehicle speed condi-
tions, depending on the target ahead
and the collision risk level when:
僅 A vehicle is detected and your vehicle
speed is approximately 5~60 km/h
(3~37 mph).
僅 A pedestrian or cyclist is detected and
your vehicle speed is approximately
5~60 km/h (3~37 mph).

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) (Front Camera Only)
Stopping vehicle and ending
brake control
A: Drive carefully
When the vehicle is stopped due to
emergency braking, the warning mes-
sage will appear on the cluster.
For your safety, the driver should
depress the brake pedal immediately
and check the surroundings.
僅 Brake control will end after the vehicle
is stopped by emergency braking for
approximately 2 seconds.
WARNING
僅 For your safety, change the Settings
after parking the vehicle at a safe
location.
僅 With Active Assist or Warning only
selected, when ESC is turned off by
pressing and holding the ESC OFF
button, Forward Collision-Avoidance
Assist will turn off automatically. In
this case, Forward Collision-Avoid-
ance Assist cannot be set from the
Settings menu and the (
light will appear on the cluster which
is normal. If ESC is turned on by
pressing the ESC OFF button again,
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist
will maintain the last setting.
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist
does not operate in all situations or
cannot avoid all collisions.
僅 The driver should hold the responsi-
bility to control the vehicle. Do not
