Configuring
9.9 Configuration of digital inputs/outputs (X142)
Configuring Oversampling DI
1. Select the Oversampling DI operating mode for the required channel.

Note
Extending the configuration limits
A maximum of eight oversampling DI can be configured at the X142 interface. If the
Oversampling DI at X142 are not sufficient for your needs, you can increase the configuration
limits with time-based IO modules, for example:
• ET 200SP distributed I/O system: TM Timer DIDQ 10x24V
(https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/95153951)
• ET 200MP distributed I/O system: TM Timer DIDQ 16x24V
(https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/95153313)
Inversion
You can invert the 24 V signal to adjust it to your process. By default, the signal is not
inverted.
Input delay
To suppress faults, you can set an input delay of 1 µs or 125 µs for the input filter of the
digital inputs. Changes to the signal are only detected if they are constantly pending for
longer than the set input delay time.
To allow signals pending very briefly to be detected by oversampling DI (for example level of
100 µs), set an input delay of 1 µs.
When an input delay of 1 µs is set, the use of shielded cables is recommended for optimum
interference immunity.
