9.9 Configuration of digital inputs/outputs (X142)
Interconnections
The technology objects that are interconnected with the channel are listed in the
Interconnections area.
If technology objects are interconnected, you can reach the respective technology object
through links (arrow icons).
Use the corresponding button to update the selection list. Updating may be required, for
example, if changes have been made to technology objects elsewhere in the project while
the channel configuration is open.
Assigning the measuring input technology object
The measuring input technology object must always be assigned to another technology
object whose position is evaluated by the measuring input.
You can assign the measuring input technology object to the following technology objects:
• Synchronous axis
• Positioning axis
• External encoder
You can assign the measuring input technology object precisely one axis or one external
encoder.
You can assign multiple measuring input technology objects to one axis or one external
encoder.
