Cleaning the Printer

Cleaning the Printer Case

Be sure to unplug the AC cable from the wall socket, and turn off the printer before cleaning. Wipe
the dirt off the printer case with a dry cloth or a damp cloth.
Do not touch the autocutter fixed blade directly with fingers during cleaning, or injury may result.
WARNING
Never clean the product with alcohol, benzine, thinner, or other such solvents.
Doing so may damage or break the parts made of plastic and rubber.
CAUTION

Manual Head Cleaning

The auto nozzle check function is installed to the printer, and the head is automatically cleaned in the
normal operation. However, when Post-Printing Verification Settings, the print result may not be
clear or print in the abnormal colors depending on some settings due to the clogging of the print
head. Clean the head in that case.
The ink is used for head cleaning, so if the ink is low, the ink may run out during the clean-
ing.

Turn the power on.

Display the window on the printer driver. (See
on page 153

Click [Manual Head Cleaning] on [Maintenance And Utilities] tab.
The printer nozzle is checked and head is automatically cleaned when it is clogged. The clean-
ing repeats 5 times at the maximum.

Execute a nozzle check and check the cleaning result.
