Expansion board

The system supports the expansion of expansion cards through the use of a riser board and bracket. Riser
boards can be installed on two slot locations on the server board: Riser 1 and Riser 2.

Removing the expansion board

Follow these steps to remove the expansion board:
Power down the server and detach all power cords from the power supplies.
1.
Remove the access panel (on page 41).
2.
Remove the screws securing the riser assembly.
3.
Lift the riser assembly out and away from the chassis.
4.
Remove the screw securing the PCIe card from the riser board.
5.
Remove the PCIe card from the riser board.
