► Push the power setting button (1) backwards
and allow it to spring back as many times as
necessary to select the required power level.

► Comb the lower section (A) and hanging
branches on the outside of the tree from the
top downwards.
► Comb the upper section (B) from the bottom
upwards.
► Comb the tree from the inside outwards,
towards the tips of the branches (C).

12 After Finishing Work

► Switch off the harvester and pull the connect‐
ing cable plug out of the socket.
► If the harvester is wet: Allow the harvester to
dry.
► Insert the plug in the socket.
► Clean the harvester.
► Clean the rakes and tines.

13 Transporting

13.1
Transporting the Special Har‐
vester
► Switch off the harvester and pull the connect‐
ing cable plug out of the socket.
► Insert the plug in the socket.
► Push in shaft completely (SPA 140).
Carrying the Special Harvester
► Carry the harvester with one hand on the shaft
so the rakes are pointing behind you.
Transporting the Special Harvester in a Vehicle
► Secure the special harvester so that it cannot
turn over or move.

14 Storing

14.1
Storing the Harvester
► Switch off the harvester and pull the connect‐
ing cable plug out of the socket.

► Insert the plug in the socket.
► Check the following points when storing the
harvester:
– Make sure the harvester cannot fall over or
move.
– Make sure the harvester is out of the reach
of children.
– Make sure the harvester is clean and dry.

15 Cleaning

15.1
Cleaning the Special Harvester
► Switch off the harvester and pull the connect‐
ing cable plug out of the socket.
► Clean the special harvester with a damp cloth
or STIHL resin solvent.
15.2
Cleaning the Rakes and Tines
► Switch off the harvester and pull the connect‐
ing cable plug out of the socket.
► Clean the rakes and tines with a damp cloth or
STIHL resin solvent.

16 Maintenance

16.1
Removing the Broken-Off Tines

► Switch off the harvester and pull the connect‐
ing cable plug out of the socket.
► Insert the key (2) into the rake (1).
► Unscrew the broken-off tine (1) with the
key (2).
► If you are unable to unscrew the broken-off
tine: Do not use the harvester and contact a
STIHL authorized dealer for assistance.

17 Repairing

17.1
Servicing and Repairing the
Harvester
The harvester cannot be repaired by the user.
► If the harvester is damaged: Do not use your
harvester and contact a STIHL authorized
dealer for assistance.
