GPS NAV Test Setup
1. Set the CDI to GPS.
2. Ensure the aircraft is able to receive a valid GPS signal. This may require moving the aircraft out
of the hangar to get clear view of the sky.
3. Enter a Direct To flight plan to a single waypoint on the GPS navigator that is generally in front of
the rotorcraft and in line with the current rotorcraft heading.
GPS NAV Mode
4. Ensure the GPS navigator is navigating to the selected waypoint and the CDI is centered.
5. Press the NAV key on the GMC.
6. Verify the following annunciations and displays:
"GPS" is displayed on the GMC 605H
"GPS", "P", "R", and "CPLD" are displayed in green text on the PFD
7. Verify the cyclic is stationary.
8. Select OBS mode on the GPS navigator.
9. Select an OBS heading approximately 10° to the right of the desired track (DTK) displayed on the
GPS navigator (DTK + 10°).
10. Verify that the cyclic moves to the left.
11. Select an OBS heading approximately 10° to the left of the desired track (DTK) displayed on the
GPS navigator (DTK - 10°).
12. Verify that the cyclic moves to the right.
13. Restore the OBS heading to the desired track (DTK) displayed on the GPS Navigator.
14. De-select NAV mode on the GMC 605H.
