Rear seat belt reminder, long
chassis version

Always make sure that the rear passen-
gers are properly fastened in and that
the number of seat belts indicated cor-
responds to the number of rear seats
occupied.
Note: in some cases the alerts may be
activated if an object is placed on one
of the rear seats, depending on the ve-
hicle.
When refitting a seat in the vehicle,
be sure to reconnect the seat con-
nector. If this is not the case, the
seat belt buckle information will not
be indicated in the visual 10 or, de-
pending on the vehicle, 11.

If one or more rear seats are not con-
nected to the vehicle, the "Rear seat
disconnected" message is displayed on
the instrument panel for approximately
five seconds:
– when the ignition is switched on, if
at least one of the seats is not con-
nected;
– with the ignition on, when a seat is
disconnected.
Each of the disconnected seats is indi-
cated by a white cross on the 10 or 11
graphic.
If a seat is shown on the 10 or 11
graphic by a white cross while it is pres-
ent in the vehicle,

The seat connector must be recon-
nected according to the refitting proce-
dure of the seat ➥ 3.44.
If it continues to be displayed, consult
an approved dealer.
If there is a fault with the seat's con-
nection to the vehicle, the "Check seat
connection" message is displayed on
the instrument panel accompanied by
the 10 or 11 graphic with a white cross
and the warning light
