18 Troubleshooting

You can rectify minor faults in your device yourself. Use the troubleshooting
information before contacting customer service. In this way you avoid
unnecessary costs.

If the power cord of this device is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or its customer service or a similarly qualified person in order to

Cause and troubleshooting
Energy saving mode is active.
Press any key. aThe display lights
up again.
Drain pipe or water drain hose is clogged.
Clean the drain pipe and water drain hose.
Drain pipe or water drain hose is kinked or pinched.
Make sure the drain pipe and water drain hose are
not kinked or pinched.
Drain pump is clogged.

Water drain hose is connected too high.
Mount the water drain hose at a maximum height
of 1 meter.
Pump cover is not assembled correctly.
Assemble the pump cover correctly.
Detergent dosage is too high.
Immediate measure: Mix a tablespoon of fabric
softener with 0.5 liters of water and fill the mixture
into the chamber for manual dosing (not for
outdoor, sportswear and down textiles).
If smart dosing is enabled, decrease the base
dosing amount → page 36 .
