1.
Connect the amp-equipped monitor speakers to the AUDIO OUT
connectors (XLR or RCA).
* Before making the connection, be sure to lower the volume level on the connected
equipments (monitor speakers). The volume level can not be adjusted with the
MASTER OUTPUT knob.
2.
Connect the audio signal output device to the AUDIO IN 1 jack.
* Change the connection of the audio signal output device to the AUDIO IN 2, 3,
and 4 jacks in the sequence of the test.
3.
Highlight AUDIO IN 1 and input the audio signal to the AUDIO IN 1 jack
and verify that the playing sound is heard from the amp-equipped
monitor speakers.
4.
Execute steps 2 and 3 in the same way for the AUDIO IN 2, 3, 4 and
AUDIO IN 5/6 jacks.
* AUDIO IN 2, 3 and 4 correspond to the AUDIO IN 2, 3 and 4 jacks.
* For the AUDIO IN 5/6 jack, highlight LINE IN.
5.
Detach the audio signal output device.
6.
Connect the SDI output device to the SDI IN 1 connector.
* Change the connection of the SDI output device to the SDI IN 2, 3, and 4
connectors in the sequence of the test.
7.
Highlight SDI IN 1 and input the SDI embedded audio signal to the SDI
IN 1 connector and verify that the playing sound is heard from the amp-
equipped monitor speakers.
8.
Execute steps 6 and 7 in the same way for the SDI IN 2, 3 and 4
connectors.
* SDI IN 2, 3, and 4 correspond to the SDI IN 2, 3, and 4 connectors.
9.
Detach the SDI output device.
10. Connect the HDMI output device to the HDMI IN 5 connector.
* Change the connection of the HDMI output device to the HDMI IN 6 connector
in the sequence of the test.
11. Highlight HDMI IN 5 and input the HDMI embedded audio signal to the
HDMI IN 5 connector and verify that the playing sound is heard from the
amp-equipped monitor speakers.
12. Highlight HDMI IN 6 and execute step 11 in the same way for the HDMI
IN 6 connector.
13. Detach the HDMI output device.
14. Highlight TEST TONE OUT and verify that test tone is output from the
AUDIO OUT (XLR and RCA), SDI OUT 1, 2, HDMI OUT 1, 2, MULTI-
VIEW connectors and PHONES jack.
* The embedded audio of 1080/59.94p is output from the SDI OUT and HDMI
OUT connectors.
15. Highlight PHANTOM 1 ON and measure the voltages between the 1-2
pins and between the 1-3 pins of the AUDIO IN 1 connector using the
tester and verify that the values are each 48 V, then press VALUE knob.

16. Execute step 15 in the same way for the AUDIO IN 2, 3 and 4 jacks.
* PHANTOM 2 ON, 3 ON and 4 ON correspond to the AUDIO IN 2, 3, and 4
jacks.
17. Press EXIT to return to the TEST MODE menu screen and verify that OK
is displayed at the right of 12:AUDIO I/O.

13:SET SERIAL
* When the Main Board has been replaced, follow the procedure described below to
set the serial number again.
1.
In the TEST MODE menu, select 13:SET SERIAL, then press the VALUE
knob.
2.
Use the VALUE knob to enter the voltage code and the serial number.
2-1. Press the VALUE knob to set the value, then press the VALUE
knob.
2-2. Turn the VALUE knob to move the cursor, then press the VALUE
knob.
* The serial number is written on the sticker affixed to the upper right of
the RS-232 connector on the rear panel.
* Follow the table below, enter a first two-digit number as the voltage code.

After entering all digit numbers, press MENU. To cancel it, press EXIT.
The settings are written and the unit returns to the TEST MODE menu
screen.
4.
Verify that OK is displayed at the right of 13:SET SERIAL on the TEST
MODE menu screen.
14:AUTO OFF
1.
In the TEST MODE menu, select 14:AUTO OFF, then press the VALUE
knob.
2.
Press the VALUE knob.
3sec appears and a countdown starts.
When it becomes 0sec, the power is switched off.
3.
Return the POWER button to the off position.
15:NPU UPDATE
Items Required
• Computer
• USB memory device
• Update file (V-60HD_NPU.BIN) (obtained via Service Net)
1.
Follow the procedure in Formatting a USB Memory Device (p. 16) to
format the USB memory device.
2.
Copy the update file (V-60HD_NPU.BIN) to the root directory of the USB
memory device.
3.
Enter the Test Mode and select 15:NPU UPDATE in the TEST MODE
menu, then press the VALUE knob.
NPU UPDATE [ENTER] TO UPDATE appears and MENU flashes green.
4.
Connect the USB memory device to the USB MEMORY connector.
5.
Press the VALUE knob.
The NPU update is executed.
8 buttons from PST/B 1 to 8 flash in sequence and the update starts.
As the update proceeds, 8 buttons change to lighting in sequence from 
the left.
When 8 buttons and MENU light up green and COMPLETE PLEASE
RESTART appears, the update has finished.
6.
Detach the USB memory device and reset the power.
