N E T W O R K S E T U P
The KL Panel / KL Panel PO can be configured to operate using ArtNet or sACN protocol by
following the steps below:
1.
Use an RJ45 cable to link the output of your controller to the "Net In" port of the first
KL Panel / KL Panel PO fixture that you wish to control. Then link the "Net Out" port of
this fixture to the "Net In" port of the next fixture in line.

Continue in this manner until all your fixtures are linked together via their "Net In" and
"Net Out" ports, as shown below.

Power on the first KL Panel / KL Panel PO unit, and use the control panel and display
screen to navigate to Personality > Network in the main menu.

Select the "Switch" option and set it to "On" to enable ArtNet / sACN network opera-
tion.
5.
Go back to the Network sub menu, and use the "IP" option to set the IP address for this
fixture. Make sure that both the controller and the fixture are in the same IP address
range to ensure that they can communicate with each other.
6.
Go back to the Network sub menu, and use the "Subnet" options to set the subnet mask
for the unit. Typically, this can be set to "255.255.255.0" to indicate that the first three
numbers of the IP address must match in order for the devices to communicate.
7.
Go back to the Network sub menu, select the "Protocol" option, and set whether the
unit will run on ArtNet or sACN protocol.
8.
Finally, go back to the Network sub menu, select the "Univers" option, and set the uni-
verse number that the unit will listen for.
9.
Repeat steps 3 to 7 for each KL Panel / KL Panel PO unit that has been connected.
10. Power on your controller. You should now be able to control your connected network of
KL Panel / KL Panel PO units using ArtNet or sACN protocol. Be sure to test that the
system works as intended.
