Replacing the V-belt

WARNING
@
When replacing the V-belt, make sure that the two
spacers 1 are installed between the secondary
fixed sheave and the secondary sliding sheave.
If the spacers are not positioned correctly, the V-belt
clutch engagement speed will be changed and the
snowmobile may move unexpectedly when the engine
is started.
Have a Yamaha dealer replace the V-belt and
adjust the gap between the secondary fixed
sheave and the secondary sliding sheave.
Serious injury can occur from the sudden release of
spring tension during sheave disassembly.
@
NOTICE
@
To ensure proper clutch performance as the V-belt
wears, it is necessary to adjust the gap between the
secondary fixed sheave and secondary sliding
sheave by changing the positions of the spacers.
Have a Yamaha dealer make this adjustment.
