2.3 Change Password (*Available for a Storage Device or
HDD with a password Pre-installed)
This feature allows the user to change the user password that has been previously installed
in a storage device or HDD.
To use this feature, from Supermicro Security Erase Configuration submenu, select Security
Function of the device with a password previously installed and press <Enter>. A Security
Function popup submenu will display as shown below.

From the dialogue box above, select Change Password and press <Enter>.
Scroll down to select Password, and press <Enter>. A dialogue box will display for you to
enter the original (old) password as shown below.
After entering the original (old) password, press <Enter> to save it.
