Set the Auto switch so that it matches the
winding direction.

Confirm that the media is not loose.
Tap lightly on both ends of the media, and
check if there is a difference in tension between
the left and right sides.

Important:
If the tension on the left and right of the
media is different, the media will not be
taken up correctly. If there is slack on one
side, rewind the media, peel off the tape, and
then restart from Step 10.

Basic Operations
Note:
If Prepare for Take-up is set to On in step 2 from
"Settings for Loaded Media", the following screen is
displayed after feeding the paper. Press How To... to
load the media into the auto take-up reel unit while
checking the procedure on the control panel.
After loading the media, press Complete.
Printing
When Ready to print. is displayed on the screen, you
can start printing.
Removing Media
See the following if you are not using the auto take-up
reel unit.

If you are using the auto take-up reel unit, first cut the
media, next remove the rewound media, and then
remove the media from the printer.
