Installing Chassis into Rack
Important Safety Note: Due to the weight of a fully configured system, Intel recommends:
•
Remove all installed modules and power supplies from the system before attempting to install the
system into a rack.
•
Use a mechanical lift to aid with the installation of the system into the rack.
•
And/or use at least two people to install the system into a rack.
1. Install the chassis into the rails:
•
Fully extend the middle rail segment out from each installed rail (see Letter A). The rail will click
and lock at the maximum length (see Letter B).
•
Position the chassis so that each inner rail segment on the side of the chassis is aligned to a rail
extending from the rack.
•
Insert the chassis into each middle rail segment and push it into the rack until it stops
(see Letter C).
•
Slide (forward or back) the blue release tab on each inner rail segment (see Letter D) and push the
chassis the remaining length until fully installed (see Letter E).
