Replacing a Voice Services card with a Media
Card
Introduction
Use this procedure to replace a Voice Services card (NTHF77AA) with a Voice
Services on Media Card (NTVQ01BB). Ensure that you make the changes in a
scheduled maintenance slot.
Be sure to follow the appropriate procedure:

Replacing a Voice Services card that has one PC card
Note: The expected location of announcements with Media Card is the A:/
drive. If the B:/ drive was used on the Voice Services card, then the location of
the announcements must be changed from the B:/ drive to the A:/ drive using the
Voice Services Administration tool of the SECC server.

To replace the Voice Services card
1
Remove the Voice Services card from the switch.
2
Remove the PC card from the drive of the Voice Services card.
3
Remove the dongle from the socket on the Voice Services card.
4
Insert the dongle into the socket of the Media Card.
5
Insert the PC card into the A:/ drive socket of the Media Card.
6
Change the backplane cabling on the switch slot from the Voice Services
cabling to the L-adapter type used by the Media Card.
7
Insert the Media Card into the IPE slot in the switch.
