Power/Config USB mini-B port —
Power — Connect a 5 V power source to this USB mini-B port. The port allows the
device to be powered by a third party USB power source, such as the USB port on
a display or a dedicated USB power supply.
Control — The USB connection may also be used with a PC for configuration and
firmware updates when needed.
Audio output — Connect a balanced or unbalanced audio device, such as an audio
OUTPUT
amplifier or powered speakers, to this 3.5 mm, 5-pole captive screw connector (see

Remote volume control port — (Optional) Connect a volume controller, such as the
Extron MLA VC10 Plus, VCM series products, MLC 64 RS VC D, and MLC 55 RS VC,
to this 3.5 mm, 3-pole captive screw connector. This port allows for optional analog
volume and mute control (see figure 4 for wiring details).
