Mower Deck with 3 Blades
1. Blades side to side
2. Sail area of blade
4. Measure between the outside cutting edges and
the flat surface (Figure 67 and Figure 68). If both
measurements are not within 3/16 inch (5 mm),
an adjustment is required; continue with this
procedure.
5. Support the weight of mower deck by placing
wood blocks under the edges of the deck.
• Place two blocks, each having a thickness of
2 5/8 inches (6.6 cm), under each side of the
front edge of the deck
• Place two blocks, each having a thickness of
2 7/8 inches (7.3 cm), under the rear edge of
the cutting deck skirt, one on each side of the
deck.
Note: Avoid placing the supports under any
anti-scalp rollers if present on the deck.
6. Remove the hairpin cotter and washer from the
lower lift-arm pin (Figure 69).

7. Rotate the height of cut plate to a different hole
so that it supports the weight of the mower deck
after the plate is installed (see Figure 70).
8. Install the washer and hairpin cotter (Figure 70).
9. Repeat steps 6 through 8 for the other side of the
machine.
10. Check the side-to-side level again; repeat this
procedure until the measurements are correct.
