The SX16+ Relay Controllers can easily
communicate with virtually any computer equipped
with a serial communications port (RS-232C).
Knowledge of BASIC or other programming
language will allow direct control, programming and
status of the SX16+ via a computer terminal. The
computer I/O lines are detailed on Page 30 of this
manual. Consult AMX for information on software
available for control of the SX16+.
Setting Baud Rate
Various Baud rates may be set for an SX System
that is interfaced to a computer or to a telephone
line via a modem. The normal configuration is 8
data bits, 1 stop bit and no parity.
Baud rate setting is a 'global' command that sets all
SX16+s in a system to the same rate. The last
setting made (on any SX16+ in the system) is the
one stored until the next change.
To Set Baud Rate
Press Buttons 15, 16 and 10 Simultaneously
AMX Reserves the right to alter specifications without notice at any time.
