Installing Rack Mounting Kit - Sx-Rk - AMX SX16+ Instruction And Programming Manual

One or two SX16+ Relay Controllers may be
mounted in one Rack Unit of space (1.75") in a
standard 19" equipment rack.
The SX-RK Rack Mounting Kit consists of the
following parts: 2 short 'ears, 1 long ear, 6 knurled
Allen screws and a 1/16" Allen wrench.
If one SX16+ is to be mounted, one short ear is
used along with the long ear. (Fig. 13 A)
These ears are bolted to the sides of the SX16+
using the Allen wrench and screws provided.

Installing SX-RK Rack Mounting Kit
Do not overtighten the screws as the sides of the
SX16+ are aluminum and the threaded holes could
eventually strip out.
If two SX16+s are mounted side by side, they must
first be bolted together. (Fig. 13 B)
Remove the top panel of one unit and thread the
screws into the threaded holes from the INSIDE of
the cabinet until the threads 'clear' the hole.
Thread the screws into the side of the second
SX16+ until the units are held snugly together.
Replace the cover of the first SXI 6+ and mount the
two short ears with the remaining screws.
