Commissioning

This chapter gives instructions to commissioning your device, see Commissioning via local
display (Page 37).
Furthermore, the device can be commissioned using SIMATIC PDM, see Commissioning with
SIMATIC PDM (Page 101).

Basic Safety notes

Loss of type of protection
Risk of explosion. Damage to device if the enclosure is open or not properly closed. The type of
protection specified on the nameplate or in Technical specifications (Page 77) is no longer
guaranteed.
• Make sure that the device is securely closed.
Hot surfaces
Risk of burns resulting from hot surfaces.
• Take corresponding protective measures, for example by wearing protective gloves.

Hazardous contact voltage

Hazardous contact voltage
May cause death or serious injury.
Risk of injury through hazardous contact voltage when the device is open or not completely
closed.
The degree of protection specified on the nameplate or in Technical data (Page 77)is no
longer guaranteed if the device is open or not properly closed.
• Make sure that the device is securely closed.
