Summary of Method
In the phosphonate procedure, a UV-catalyzed oxidation converts phosphonate to
orthophosphate. The orthophosphate is then quantified using the PhosVer 3
method.
React quantitatively. Meta- and polyphosphates do not
interfere.

May exceed the buffering capacity of the reagents
and require sample pretreatment.
