Configuring antennas

You can only achieve optimum setting of the radiated power of the antennas of the SIMATIC
Ident CB Gate via the connected PC or a PG and using the WBM (Web Based Management) of
the reader. This procedure is described below.
Requirements
• The individual components of the CB Gate are connected.
• A PC or programming device (PG) is connected.
• The CB Gate has started up but is disabled ("Home > Controls > Enable Gate > Off").
• The WBM of the reader was started.
Note: For the configuration via the WBM, a PC or PG must be connected, the connection
established and the access enabled. You can find information on this in the section
"Network integration (Page 29)".
• The conveyor system stands still and two objects with a transponder each are in the
conveyor system as displayed in the graphic.
In our example, the objects are car tires. The transponders are always in the outer wall of
the tire - from the perspective of the travel direction. Note the maximum permissible
speed of the conveyor system (≤ 1.3 m/s) and the resulting minimum distance between
the objects.
