When an Apple CarPlay device is connected using an undamaged

genuine Apple CarPlay device cable, battery of the Apple CarPlay
device will be charged.
When playing music on an Apple CarPlay device, operate the Apple
l
CarPlay device from the system. Furthermore, depending on the
connected Apple CarPlay device, certain functions may not be
available.
Depending on the Apple CarPlay device or music file being played,
l
the cover art may not be displayed.
When an Apple CarPlay device is connected and the audio source is
l
changed to Apple CarPlay device mode, the Apple CarPlay device
will resume playing from the same point it was last used.
Tracks selected by operating a connected Apple CarPlay device may
l
not be recognized or displayed properly.
Android Auto*
*: When connected as an Android Auto device
Audio files on an Android Auto device can be played back.
CONNECTING AN Android Auto DEVICE
The Android Auto application can be used in either of the
following methods:
● Register a device compatible with Android Auto to the
vehicle system then connect it wirelessly. (→P.109)
● Connect a device compatible with Android Auto to a USB
port. (→P.109)
