ALTERNATE INSTALL 2
- Follow steps a-d of ALTERNATE INSTALL 1
a. Restart the PC
b. Go to the location on your computer where you extracted the driver files, and double-click on the Setup
program to launch the automatic installer. Run the printer installation to it's completion. When prompted to
choose a port during installation, select "FILE."
c. After the Setup program has finished, reconnect the printer to the computer and repeat steps 1-6.
There are different methods for uninstalling a printer, depending on the connection type (USB/parallel or net-
work) and the printer model (Postscript or raster/GDI). Open the Printers control panel, then follow the steps
listed below for the appropriate connection and printer type.
Simply right-click the icon for the printer and select "Delete."
1. Right-click the icon for the printer and select "Delete."
2. Delete the Plug-and-Play identifier file from the system by following these steps:
a. Click the Start button and choose Search (fig.BB ).
b. Click the "Advanced Search" option in the upper right corner of the Search Window (fig. CC).
