The Copy, Cut, and Erase functions are all accessed by the Track edit button (under EDIT CONDITION).
Selecting a function is simply a matter of pressing the Track button until that function appears in the
display screen. LetÕs start out with a copy edit. In order to copy material, you have to have some material to
start with. So begin by recording some audio on Track 1 that we can use to edit. Record just a phrase,
maybe a few measures long.
1) Press the Track button until the display reads ÒTrack Copy ?Ó
2) Press the YES/ENTER button to confirm your selection.
3) Now the screen will ask you for the Track number of the source material that you are going to copy (the
Virtual Track that is currently selected will be the one that is copied). You can press the CH EDIT
button that corresponds with the Track you wish to copy. For our example press CH EDIT button 1.
4) Ò1-1Ó should now be blinking in the display. Press the YES/ENTER button to confirm this selection. Now,
the Ò?-?Ó on the right of the display should be blinking. This is the destination Track setting. You can
copy material to any Track. Use the CH EDIT buttons to select Primary Tracks (Tracks 1 - 8). Use the
TIME/VALUE dial to select different Virtual Tracks. If you need to switch between the Source and
Destination Tracks, use the CURSOR left or right button.
6) Press CH EDIT button 2 to select Primary Track 2 and use the TIME/VALUE dial to select Virtual Track
2 as the destination Track for our copy. The screen should look like this:
START of the EDIT.
Beginning of the
material to edit
7) Press the PARAMETER right button to advance to the next screen. This is the Start time for the copy source
material Ð the point at which you want to start copying. You can set this value in the same way as you did
the Auto Punch points:
