5.1 Configuration Examples
This section describes how to set configuration information using the two simple examples.
NOTE Skip to the chapter "6. Confirmation of Operation Status" in case that you consigned the
settings of configuration infromation to our local service staffs in your region.

Example
Working GS4000 as a layer2 switch using more than one VLANs
Figure 5-1 below shows the network where more that one VLANs are set.
Prerequisites for configuration information settings are;
・The name of a device must be "GS1".
・The interface ports 0/0 and 0/1 of "GS1" must be allocated to VLAN100.
・The interface ports 0/2 and 0/3 of "GS1" must be allocated to VLAN200.
・The interface port 0/4 of "GS1" must be allocated to both VLAN100 and VLAN200.

NOTE The "0/0" of the interface port 0/0 above means the following;
