Direct Protocol tab

This works the same way as described for Fingerprint above.
Override Protocol
• Override Protocol Default
The Direct Protocol uses some printable characters in the commu-
nication protocol. These are user definable, but are preset to:
Start of record
End of record
Field separator
A string of variables sent to the printer with this setting looks like
this:

In applications where there is no possibility to reserve three print-
able characters, this tool will override the standard protocol and
enable you to define a reserved on to three character string for Start
of record and End of Record. The Field separator will maintain a
single character. Activate the dialogue by setting Override Protocol
to "On".
Start string
Select the desired two or three character from the pull down menu.
End string
Select the desired two or three character from the pull down menu.
Separator character
Select the desired single separator character.
