ERPLabel v. 2.0 for SAP R/3 – Installation & Operation Ed. 1
As ERPLabel uses /& as placeholder for the variables, this string
can not be used in a label. If used an Error Message will be replaced
(Error 513 – Odd number of field delimiters).
The Direct Protocol uses some printable characters in the commu-
nication protocol. These are user definable, but are preset to:
Start of record
End of record
Field separator
The printer driver must be set up properly to obtain the expected
results that SAPscripts expect. There is a separate section for each
printer command language and mode. Follow these instructions
carefully.
The Fingerprint driver supports only Host Mode, but has the full
functionality including graphics printing. It may have a lower
throughput than the Direct Protocol driver in some applications.
The driver communicates with the printer using printable charac-
ters, so no special consideration is necessary.
The only settings that is required to have a specific setting to give
the correct result for the output file to SAPscript are:
General tab
• Maximum number of graphic
• Reload images
• Send modified data only
The other settings depend on the user preferences and the work
mode of the printer. This is described in the standard documenta-
tion of LabelShop.
