VERVIEW

The S5U1C88348T is a demonstration tool for Seiko Epson's S1C88 Family of 8-bit single-chip microcom-
puters.
The S5U1C88348T may be operated with external ROM (MPU mode) or connected to the peripheral
circuit board (S5U1C88348P) on the ICE (S5U1C88000H5) after removal of the MPU board. This permits
its use as a user application development tool for S1C88 Family microcomputers, including the S1C88348,
S1C88317, S1C88316, and S1C88308.
The system configuration for the S5U1C88348T when shipped from the factory is given below:

Internal ROM = 48KB, internal RAM = 2KB
MCU/extented 512K minimum mode
OSC1 clock:
Crystal oscillator 32.768 kHz
OSC3 clock:
Crystal oscillator 3.68 MHz
RAM 32KB (replaceable with 64KB or 128KB RAM)
External memory:
ROM Not included (32KB, 64KB, 128KB, or 256KB ROM may be installed)
128 dot × 32 dot matrix LCD
LCD panel:
Operated by the internal LCD driver of the S1C8P348 and external extended LCD
driver S1D15210F (made by Seiko Epson)
50-key keyboard
Keyboard:
Speaker:
Used for BZ output
LED:
8 pcs. (usable as a general-purpose monitor)

maximum modes, the addresses given in this manual correspond to extended 512K minimum/
