4. Continue to push the gasket into the track
to the bottom of the tub and extending the
gasket 2-inches to the center of the tub.
5. Always run the dishwasher to test for leaks.

Latch System

The door switches are rated at 13.5 VDC. The
door latch switches open and close the line and
neutral break relays on the main control. The
latch assembly is located on top of the tub. A
strike on the door activates the switches, and the
latch assembly holds the door in when the door is
latched closed.

The dishwasher must be pulled out 6- to 8-inches
from its installed position to replace the latch
switch.

To Replace the Door Latch / Switch Assembly
1. Remove power to the dishwasher.
2. Remove the dishwasher from its installed
position, approximately 6- to 8-inches.
3. Remove two screws, (R2 Robertson /
Carpenters Bit or #2 Phillips-head screw-
driver).
4. Disconnect the wiring to the switch.

Latch Switch Diagnosis

Diagnoses can be accomplished in Consumer
Error Mode (see Consumer Error Mode in
the Electronic Controls section of this service
guide) or with an ohm meter at the main control
board as described below.
1. Access the main board.
2. Locate and disconnect connector J711.
3. Check continuity from pin 3 (tan and red) to
pin 4 (violet and yellow) and pin 3 (tan and
red) to pin 5 (white and silver). Both should
be open when the door is open and closed
when the door is closed.
