5. Always run the dishwasher to test for leaks.

Latch System

The door switch is rated at 13.5 VDC. The tub
latch is located on top of the tub. A strike on the
door activates the switch, and the tub latch holds
the door in when the door is latched closed.

The dishwasher must be pulled out 6 to 8 inches
from its installed position to replace the tub latch.

To Replace the Tub Latch
1. Remove power to the dishwasher.
2. Remove the dishwasher from its installed
position, approximately 6 to 8 inches.

3. Remove two screws, (R2 Robertson /
Carpenters Bit or #2 Phillips screw-driver).
Tub Latch Switch Diagnosing
Diagnoses can be accomplished in Error Mode
(see Error Mode section of this service guide) or
with an ohm meter at the main control board as
described below.
1. Access the main board.
2. Locate and disconnect connector J603.
3. Check for 2.2k ohms from pin 1 (yellow)
to pin 2 (dark blue/navy) while the door is
closed. The circuit should be open when the
door is open and 2.2k ohms when the door is
closed.
