Short Message Service (SMS)

SMS is the transmission of short text messages to and from a
mobile phone, fax machine and/or IP address. A single SMS
message should be no longer than 160 alpha-numeric characters
and contain no images or graphics.
Messages longer than 160 alpha-numeric characters will be sent
as multiple SMS messages. An SMS character count is visible
when SMS messages (New/Reply/Forward) are composed. The
count also shows how many SMS messages will be generated
when the message is sent.
You can send Short Messages using the Phone keypad or from
Inbox:
1. From the Phone keypad, tap Tools > Send SMS. From Inbox,
tap Accounts > SMS.
2. Tap New.
3. In the To field, enter either the e-mail address or SMS
Number of one or more recipients, separating them with a
semicolon, or select a name from the contact list by tapping
User's Guide
You can use a different signature with each account.
