System Save

System Save allows you to back up all information and files on your hard drive, and
store it to a separate partition on your drive for later use.
To perform a System Save to back up your files, complete the following steps:

Understanding Your Service and Support Tools
From the Windows desktop, double-click the Compaq Support
Click the QuickRestore
Click the System Save button.
Click Continue. The computer will begin backing up the files to the System
Save partition.
You will receive notification when the System Save is complete.
NOTE:
If the System Save partition size is not large enough to complete the save, the
following message is displayed when you begin:
QuickRestore has detected that drive D: may not have enough space for the
System Save image file. Choose one of the options below to save your system
or press Cancel to return to the QuickRestore Menu.
To increase the size of the partition, click the OK button when asked if you would like
to resize your System Save partition. The Resize System Save option is the default
option. The computer will automatically begin resizing the System Save partition and
will complete the System Save.
CAUTION:
Increasing the size of your System Save partition may take some time. Do not
press any keys or turn off your computer while increasing the size of the partition. If you
restart your computer while resizing your partition, you can lose or damage important files.
