LCD Cannot Be Seen At All or Display is Difficult to
See
Cause
The machine is not powered on or the
LCD is in the screen-saver mode.
The LCD display is difficult to see.

An Unintended Language Is Displayed on the LCD

Cause
The language you want to be displayed
is not selected.
If all the lamps on the Operation Panel are off
The machine is not powered on. Plug the power cord in and press the ON/
OFF button. The machine will power on and the LCD will display a message.
If one of the mode buttons (e.g., the COPY button) is lit
The LCD may be in the screen-saver mode. On the Operation Panel, press a
button other than the ON/OFF button.

Adjust the LCD contrast setting. For details, refer to "Adjust contrast" in "Device
Settings" of the User's Guide on-screen manual.
Select the language you want to be displayed according to the following
procedure.
(1)Press the COPY button, wait for about 5 seconds, then press the Menu
button.
(2)Press the ] button twice to select

(4)Press the } button five times, then press the OK button.
(5)Use the { or } button to select the language you want to be displayed, then
press the OK button.
