When in MS-DOS mode,
the image on the
computer display
does not fill the
screen.

To maintain a
high-quality image, the
800 x 600 models do not
stretch the
lower-resolution image
of MS-DOS mode to fill
the screen. This is
inherent to display
panel technology
under a DOS
environment.
Try FN + T to stretch the
screen in DOS mode. If
this doesn't work,
download the latest ROM
and video drivers from
Compaq.
