Convenience Features
The SCOPE function provides a real time spectrum display of the band conditions. Both strong and weak signals can
be clearly displayed on the TFT screen. In the MANUAL mode, the scope frequency spectrum is scanned one time and
displayed. In the "Continuous Sweeping mode", the scope spectrum is repeatedly swept and displayed. The scope sweep
and span, the color of the SPECTRUM display, and the color of the WATER FALL display may be optimized according
to your preference.
Touch [ SWEEP ] on the LCD to display the band condi-
tions ( spectrum ) .
 The transceiver is equipped with two types of sweep-
ing mode: "MANUAL mode" and "Continuous
sweeping mode". Refer to the advice below to select
the optimal mode according to your preferences and
purposes.
Advice:
 "Touch [ SWEEP ] on the LCD to access the Manual
mode. Each time [ SWEEP ] on the LCD is touched,
a new scan of the spectrum scope is shown on the
TFT display.
 Touch and hold [ SWEEP ] on the LCD to cause the
spectrum scope to scan continuously until [ SWEEP ]
on the LCD is touched again.
 "Spectrum display mode" or "Waterfall display
mode" may be selected in Menu item "115 SCP
DISPLAY MODE".
 Width of scope display may be set in Menu item "116
SCP SPAN FREQ".
 Color of the SPECTRUM display may be set in
Menu item "117 SPECTRUM COLOR".
 Color of the WATER FALL display may be set in
Menu item "118 WATER FALL COLOR".
