Unintended Top and Bottom Margins are Generated

If the backing paper of die-cut label sheet that does not have waste surrounding labels is too
thin (transmittance is high), the printer may not be able to detect the labels and cause
unintended top and bottom margins on each label. (The "top and bottom" used here means the
beginning and end of labels in the paper feed direction.)

IMPORTANT
Adjust the print start position to
fill the unintended top margin
(blank space at the beginning).
Expand the print area of the
printer to fill the unintended
bottom margin (blank space at
the end).

The print may extend onto the backing paper depending on the actual print
position and position the paper is loaded. When handling printed paper
(labels), take extra care to prevent your hands or the paper from being
smudged with ink.

Solution and Reference
1. Start PrinterSetting.

2. Execute Print Start Position Adjustment (Vertical
Direction) from the Printer Adjustment - Paper Feed
Adjustment menu.
3. Enter a minus value to move the print start position in a
direction opposite to the paper feed direction. Match the
value with the top margin size.

2. Open the ink cartridge cover and remove the dip switch
cover.
3. Use an object with a sharp tip to change dip switch 3 to ON.
The dip switches are numbered in order from the left. Up is
the ON state and down is the OFF state.
4. Attach the dip switch cover and close the ink cartridge
cover.
5. Turn the printer on.
