Upgrade the machine's system software (MN-CONT) to Ver.24.03 or later.
For system software Ver. 24.03 and later, the default setting of paper size for the multi-purpose tray has
been cancelled.
Make the following combination upon upgrading it to MN-CONT Ver.24.03

Last sheet of multiple-sheet document not picked up (DADF-AC1)

Symptom
When picking up the document of multiple-sheet, the last sheet was not picked up and left in the Document
Tray.
Cause
The symptom was caused by either of the following.
1) When the ADF rear side plate deforms at either [A] or [B], the Last Document Detection Sensor moves
downward. This causes the dislocated sensor flag detection position for the Last Document Detection
Sensor resulting in improper detection of document presence.
[a] indicates a normal status whereas [b] drawn in a yellow line indicates the deformation at the attachment
position.
