PROGRAMMED EDITING USING THE REMOTE CONTROL
Programmed editing
Programmed editing allows you to select up to 5
segments of the recording to transfer to a new tape.
Connections
Connect all the units as illustrated below. Use the
supplied extension cable to connect the remote control.
Turn all units on, (set the camcorder

press the
MONITOR ON/OFF
remote control, to turn the colour monitor on, if necessary).
Preparation
You will need to set the IR-code (0 1 to 26) corresponding
to the maker of the remote controlled VC R to be used
during editing.

Setting the IR-code

Load a tape in the VC R, and set it to recording pause
mode. Use a tape that can be recorded on.

Press the
DATA ON SCREEN
on-screen indications on the colour monitor display.

Direct the remote control toward the remote control
sensor on the VCR, using a thin object press the
button once.

•The display will start changing and every IR-code
will be displayed for 5 seconds.

When the I R-code matches the VC R maker code, the
VC R will go into recording mode, indicating that the
correct code has been found. Press the
button in the 5 seconds the I R-code is still displayed.
•This completes the I R-code setting. Stop the VC R
and unload or rewind the tape.

Notes:
• If the
VCR SELECT
the 5 seconds the desired I R-code was displayed,
press it to erase the display and stop the VC R. Then,
repeat steps 1 to 4.
•The I R-code will need to be reset after the remote
control battery is replaced.
•Some VC Rs, from the makers indicated in the table,
may not respond to any of the I R-codes due to the
fact that makers sometimes change their infrared
coding, etc.
