Resetting

Resetting the unit using the recessed R button on the rear panel can initiate four reset
modes, depending on the length of time the button is pressed and held.
ATTENTION:
Mode Activation
1 Using an Extron Tweeker or other
small screwdriver, press and hold
in the recessed Reset button for
30 seconds while applying power to
the switcher.
After a mode 1 reset,
NOTE:
update the device with the
latest firmware version.
DO NOT operate with the
firmware version that results
from this mode reset. This
temporarily resets the device
to factory default until power
is recycled. To use factory
default firmware, re-upload
that version.
3 Press and hold down the Reset
button until all front panel LEDs
and the Reset LED blink twice
(approximately 3 seconds) to
confirm the reset. Then, press the
Reset button again momentarily
(less than 1 second).
4 Press and hold down the Reset
button until all front panel LEDs
and the Reset LED blink two times
(at 3 seconds), then two times
again (at 6 seconds) to confirm the
reset. Then, press Reset again
momentarily (less than 1 second).
• Review the reset modes carefully. Using the wrong reset mode may result in
unintended loss of flash memory programming, port reassignment, or unit
reboot.

Reset Modes Summary
The device reverts to the factory
default firmware for a single power

firmware version running prior to
the reset.

on power up to confirm the reset.
All settings except IP revert to factory
defaults.

Purpose/Notes
Use mode 1 to revert
to the factory default
version if incompatibility
issues arise with
user-loaded firmware.
Use mode 3 to reset
all settings to factory
defaults while retaining
the IP settings.

all IP settings back to
factory defaults.
