CHECKING THE VALVE LIFTER

NOTICE
Be sure to align the balancer shaft "1" gear mark "a"
with the crankshaft gear mark "b".
3.
NOTICE
Be sure to align the camshaft "2" gear mark "c" with
the crankshaft gear mark "d".

CHECKING THE CRANKCASE COVER

1.
Check:
• Valve lifter
Damage  Replace.
Install:
• Intake valve lifter "1"
• Exhaust valve lifter "2"
Install:
• Balancer shaft "1"
Install:
• Camshaft "2"
Check:
• Crankcase cover
Damage  Replace.
• Bearing
Noise/wear/rotational failure  Replace.
