Using the rapid defrost feature

The Rapid Defrost feature enables you to defrost meat, poultry, fish or fruit/berry.
The defrost time and power level are set automatically. You simply select the
programme and the weight.
First, place the frozen food in the centre of the turntable and close the door.

NOTE
• You can also defrost food manually. To do so, select the microwave cooking/
reheating function with a power level of 180 W. Refer to the section entitled
"Cooking/Reheating" on page 11 for further details.
• Use only dishes that are microwave-safe.

1. Press the Rapid Defrost button.
2. Select the type of food that you are
cooking by pressing Up/Down button.
Refer to the table on this page
for a description of the various
preprogrammed settings.
At that time, press the Select button to
select the type of food.
3. Select the size of the serving by
pressing Up/Down button.
4. Press the START button.
• Defrosting begins.
• The oven beeps halfway through
defrosting to remind you to turn the
food over.
5. Press START button again to finish
defrosting.
When cooking has finished, the oven
will beep and flash "End" 4 times.
The oven will then beep one time per
minute.
The following table presents the various Rapid Defrost programmes, quantities,
standing times and appropriate recommendations. Remove all kinds of package
material before defrosting. Place meat, poultry, fish and fruit/berry on a ceramic
plate.

1 200-1500 g Shield the edges with aluminium foil. Turn

3 200-1500 g Shield the tail of the whole fish with
Fish aluminium foil. Turn the fish over when the
oven beeps.
This programme is suitable for whole fishes
and fish fillets. Stand for 10-30 minutes.
4 100-600 g Spread fruits evenly into a flat glass dish.
This programme is suitable for all kind of
Fruit/Berry
fruits. Stand for 5-30 minutes.
