Setting up the unit to connect
to your home network
through the Instant (S-IWS)
connection
If you have the Sony "GIGA JUKE" Music Server
and are using Instant (S-IWS) connection to
connect to your home network, you can use
Instant (S-IWS) connection to set up the wireless
network.

Select [Settings] from the Home
menu.
Settings menu appears.

Select [Network Setting].
"Switch to Home Network, when the setting
is completed. " appears in the display. Select
[OK] to continue the operation.

Select [Connection Setting] – [Instant
(S-IWS)].
Follow the instructions that appear in the
display.

When "Instant (S-IWS) setting with
wireless station is completed. "
appears, select [OK].
The unit changes to the Home Network
function and the server selection display
appears. For details on playing audio data
stored on a computer, see "Playing audio
data stored on a computer" (page 34). For
details on listening to the Internet radio, see
"Listening to the Internet radio" (page 33).
Note
Instant (S-IWS) connection is recommended when
the unit is only connected to your "GIGA JUKE"
Music Server as a server. When connecting the unit
to a computer, the manual connection or the AOSS
connection is recommended as it can obtain a security
level higher than that of the Instant (S-IWS) connection.
Use the manual connection or the AOSS connection if
higher security level is a priority.
Setting up a proxy server
manually
You may have to set up a proxy server, depending
on the specifications of your Internet provider or
the network settings.

Select [Settings] from the Home
menu.
Settings menu appears.

Select [Network Setting].
"Switch to Home Network, when the setting
is completed. " appears in the display. Select
[OK] to continue the operation.

Select [Proxy Setting] – [On].
Specify the IP address and port number, and
then press and hold ENTER.

When "Switch proxy settings. "
appears, select [OK].
