1 CRK (chroma key) INPUTS 1 to 4 connectors
(BNC type)
By installing optional BKDS-7133 boards (two
channels per board), up to four channels of analog
component video signals (Y/R–Y/B–Y/sync or RGB/
sync signals) can be input as chroma key signals.
2 GPI (general purpose I/O) connector
(D-sub 25-pin)
This connector is used for the input and output of
trigger signals to and from connected equipment.
Eight input channels and eight output channels can be
used, with the specific conditions for each input and
output being set from the control panel.
3 TERMINAL connector (D-sub 9-pin, RS-232C)
Used for connection to the control terminal or other
equipment, for example, when needed for maintenance
operation.
4 SERIAL TALLY connector (D-sub 9-pin,
RS-422A)
Used for transmitting a tally signal from the switcher
to external devices.
5 PANEL 1 connector (D-sub 9-pin, RS-422A)
Used for connecting a BKDS-7015/7025/7026 control
panel.
6 REF (reference video) INPUTS connectors
(BNC type)
Used for the input of an analog reference video signal
when the switcher is being synchronized using an
external sync signal. The two connectors are
connected in loop-through fashion, allowing a signal to
be input to one of the two connectors and output from
the other. When not using loop-through output, the
unused connector should be terminated with the
supplied 75 Ω terminator.
The signal which should be used as a reference video
signal depends on the system format, as follows:
Composite system: Black burst signal
Component system: Black burst or sync signal
7 REF (reference) OUTPUT connector
(BNC type)
Used to output an analog reference video signal.
Using control panel settings, the phase of the output
signal can be adjusted from approximately –28
+70 µs with respect to the phase of the input signal on
the REF INPUTS connectors 6.
The signal which is output as a reference video signal
depends on the system format, as follows:
Composite system: Black burst signal
Component system: Black burst (525-line mode
only) or sync signal
8 DME (Digital Multi Effects) 1 to 4 connectors
(D-sub 9-pin, RS-422A)
These connectors can be connected to equipment such
as the DME-7000 Digital Multi Effects to control the
switcher's auxiliary bus.
9 EDITOR A and B/ REMOTE 1 and 2
connectors (D-sub 9-pin, RS-422A)
Depending on the control panel settings, these
connectors can be used to connect editors such as the
BVE-9100 Editing Control System, allowing the
switcher to be externally controlled. Normally, the
EDITOR A connector would be used, with the
EDITOR B connector being used for function
expansion.
When using as the REMOTE 1 and 2 connectors for
control extension, connect equipment such as the
BKDS-7060 Keyer Remote Control Panel.
!º REMOTE 4 connector (D-sub 9-pin, RS-422A)
Used as an additioal control connector for system
expansion.
!¡ MATRIX connector (D-sub 9-pin)
Provided for system expansion.
!™ PANEL 2/ REMOTE 3 connector
(D-sub 9-pin, RS-422A)
This connector can be used to remotely control the
switcher from the BKDS-2010 subpanel or BKDS-
7060 Keyer Remote Control Panel.
