Overview
BKDS-7280 M/E Preview Board
Enables key preview (K-PVW) outputs from the AUX
BUS OUTPUTS, PVW OUTPUT and CLEAN
OUTPUT connectors which can be used for M/E
preview outputs. One per M/E bank or downstream
keyer block can be used, to a total of three.
BKDS-7370 Advanced Wipe Board
Adds functionality to the standard built-in wipe
generator. This not only allows patterns including
rotary wipes and round corner wipes to be used, but
also provides a variety of wipe effects, including
pattern NAM, spiral effects, and trail effects. Each
BKDS-7370 board expands the functionality of one
M/E wipe generator. One board can be installed for
each M/E, up to a total of three: any combination of
these boards with BKDS-2070 boards.
BKDS-7420 Color Correction Board
Provides a color correction function for the red, green,
and blue signals. One board provides color correction
for two channels, and can be applied to the signals
selected on the frame memory 1 and frame memory 2
buses. This board can only be used in a component
system, but cannot be installed if a BKDS-7445 board
is being used.
BKDS-7444 Frame Memory Expansion Board
Used with the BKDS-2041 Frame Memory Board, this
stores freeze frame images. It allows 20 images to be
held in DRAM, and 16 images in flash memory, for
recall as required. Images stored in flash memory are
preserved when the system is powered off.
BKDS-7445 Frame Memory Adaptor Board
Enables signal exchange with the frame memory in
both composite and component systems. This board is
not required when a BKDS-7420 board is used in a
component system.
BKDS-7690 Redundant Power Supply Unit
A backup power unit.

BKDS-2031 Chromakey Board
Provides chroma key processing, for use in composite
or component systems. One board can be installed for
each M/E, up to a total of two. This board has the
following functions:
• 4:4:4 input (foreground)
• Oversampling processing
• Auto chroma keying
• Color modification (foreground)
• Mask generation
BKDS-2032 Chromakey Upgrade Board
Enhances the BKDS-2031 functionality. One board
can be attached to each BKDS-2031 board. This board
adds the following functions:
• 4:4:4 input for clean chroma key (both foreground
and background)
• Dual adjustment
• Color modification (both foreground and
background)
• Spot color modification
• Main mask and submask
BKDS-2041 Frame Memory Board
Provides frame memory with a capacity of 1 frame × 2
channels, and an independent input bus can be used for
each channel. The board is also equipped with its own
mask generator, matte generator, and pen tablet
interface. A BKDS-7445 board is required to use this
board except when a BKDS-7420 board is used in a
component system.
BKDS-2070 Enhanced Wipe Generator Board
Adds functionality to the standard built-in wipe
generator, including HV modulation, enhanced wipe
patterns (heart, matrix patterns, etc.), and pattern
mixing functionality. Each BKDS-2070 board
expands the functionality of one M/E wipe generator.
One board can be installed for each M/E or DSK, up to
a total of three: any combination of these boards with
BKDS-7370 boards.
Processor and control panel accessories
BKDS-7340 DSK Control Panel Unit
Provides two downstream key channels and a control
panel. In addition to downstream keyer transitions,
M/E-1 and M/E-2 transitions are supported.
This board cannot be used with the 2.5-M/E panel.
