Boot Loader

Boot Loader
Use the CUP2’'s Boot Loader to enter Diagnostics or perform a hard reset to the unit. You can
also install operating system updates and objects into Flash memory.

Entering the Boot Loader

Press and hold the Play/Stop button and apply power to the unit. When CUP2 boot loader and
its version number scroll across the display, release the Play/Stop button.
Press the Record button to move through the available menu options, then press the Next
button to select it.
The following is a brief description of the ve available menu options in the CUP2 Boot
Loader.
Run CUP2——Exits the Boot Loader and returns the unit to normal operation.
File Utilities——Use this to save and restore CUP2 les, or execute an CUP2 image via USB.
System Reset——Clears user memory and restores the unit to factory default settings.
Run Diagnostics——Enters the diagnostic test menu. For a complete list of tests and the
procedure to execute the diagnostic tests, refer to Chapter 3, Diagnostics.
Update Software——Select this to install new system software and objects.

Resets

Hard Reset

There are two ways to perform a hard reset to the CUP2.
1. Function Mode——Simultaneously press the Layer and Split buttons to enter Function
