PARALLEL PORT DEVICES

When installing a device on the parallel port
which is on the rear panel o f your notebook, be
sure that the connector is the right size,aligned,
and fully seated. Then tighten the hold-down
screw on each end of the connector. (See Figure
1-10 on page 8.)

MOUSE, KEYBOARD OR KEYPAD
When installing a mouse, external keyboard or
keypad use the PS/2 port on the right side of
your notebook and make sure the connector on
your device is the correct size. Align the arrow
on the connector to point to the bottom of
your notebook and push in until the connector
seats in the port.A mouse or keyboard or key-
pad may be installed in this port and will be
automatically recognized by your notebook
without restarting or changing setups.

The stereo line in jack is not designed for
use with microphones.

MICROPHONES
You may install a mono microphone which is
equipped with an
plug. Install it in the microphone jack on the
right side panel of your notebook. Make sure
the plug is aligned and push in until fully seated.

STEREO LINE IN DEVICES

You may install stereo audio devices such as
cassette recorders which are equipped with an
" (3.5 mm) stereo mini-plug. This kind of
device is connected via the stereo line in jack
on the right side panel of your notebook. Make
sure the plug is aligned and push it in until fully
seated. (See Figure 1-9 on page 7.)

AUDIO OUTPUT DEVICES

Stereo headphones or powered speakers which
are equipped with an 1/8" (3.5 mm) stereo
mini-plug may be installed in the headphone
jack on the right side panel of your notebook.
Make sure the plug is aligned and push in until
fully seated. (See Figure 1-9 on page 7.)
